Subhash Ghai at Shivaji University Kolhapur for URJA' WEEK event

'Urja' a week-long series of lectures were organized by Sakaal Media Group in collaboration with Guardian Developers at Shivaji University, Kohlapur. Mr. Subhash Ghai inaugurated the event at the Lokakala Kendra along with Chief Editor of 'Sakaal' Mr. Pawar and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Shivaji University, Mr.Ashok Bhoite. It was followed by Mr. Subhash Ghai being felicitated by Mr. Pawar and Mr. Bhoite.

Sheer personalities from different walks of life like Atul Kulkarni, Vitthal Kamat, Hanmant Gaikwad, Anand Kumar, Sunil Khanbahale and Dyaneshwar Mule will inspire the students by sharing with them their life journey and invigorate the passion in them. The success stories and achievements of these personalities will be presented in the lectures followed by their felicitation.

Mr. Subhash Ghai, legendary filmmaker and an education evangelist himself being the Founder and Chairman of a Global Institute called Whistling Woods International, shared his experiences with around 2 thousand students and encouraged them to identify their talents and then pursue them to make a career. He advised them to not believe or learn anything on face value but rather delve beneath the subject in order to gain full knowledge about it. He also focused on the importance of inner growth which is quintessential for outer growth and of personality as a whole.

In his words, “URJA means giving positive energy to both young and old and therefore always strive for excellence and never settle for mediocrity. Fight the odds and use them in your stride.”

He was later quizzed by his very own Whistling Wood Alumni and a budding actor Mr. Anil Mange who recently worked in movies like ‘Hasee toh Phasee’ and ‘PK.’ Anil Mange asked some interesting questions to Mr. Ghai on behalf of all the students present there and also informed the audience how Mr. Subhash Ghai acted as a key element to help him step up the ladder of success. Later he mesmerized the audience by playing flute to the tune of 'Saare Jahan Se Accha.'

The evening was exciting and uniquely entertaining. There is no doubt that the audience loved both pieces from the standing ovation at the finish of the evening’s performance and the fervency of the applause.
